Old Fashioned Traditional Herbal pills are usually made into round shape using only fine ground herbs, water and honey. Pills are mostly handmade and require great skills and years of experience to form a perfectly round pills. The color of the herbs used in the pills are naturally very dark brown and turns black when the mist of water and honey is gently sprayed. The powder starts to form round pills as it absorbs the moisture in the spinning drum. Our skilled pill craftsman delicately handle the whole process and polish pills using minimum amount of moisture. The pills are then air dried. This is why Traditional Chinese Herbal pills are far superior and healthier to the body compare to the modern tablets made with silicon or harsh chemical bonding agent.
No. Taifu's main function is to aid digestion and balance the internal. In other word, it revive the normal healthy functions of your digestive system through cleansing and balancing entire internal body system. As a result, your bowel becomes much easier and regular. It is not design to stimulate or force the bowel out of colon.
Our traditional Chinese herbal pills are very small. It's about 1/8th of an inch. It is very easy to take.
Taifu is not design to help loose weight, however, you will experience an increased circulation and higher metabolism through the restoration of proper digestive functions. With healthier diet and regular exercise, loosing weight is no longer as difficult as it has been.

As long as the pills stay in Dry Cool place. It is still OK to take it. At our old shop, we still have some Taifu pills from 30 years ago and it still works as good as new ones. Make sure to keep it away from the moisture. If you live in hot & humid place, it's probably a good idea to keep in a paper bag and use it as soon as you can.
No. Though you might, in rare cases, experience uncomfortable and irregular bowel activities at first, you should not be alarmed. Your body is simply adjusting towards ideal balanced states through cleansing. You may reduced the amount of the pills you take, but do not stop taking the pills at this initial stage. Eventually and gradually, your bowel becomes regular and you will feel much more refreshed and energized.
It is safe for children at any age. Children around age 3 should start with 8 to 10 pills (pills are very tiny - they shouldn't have problem swallowing them). They can increase or decrease the amount according to their bowel activities.
Yes, it is actually beneficial to take Taifu because it will help rid the body of toxins(man-made chemical)derived from medications.
Take 1/2 tsp, 2 times a day - 30 minutes after lunch and
dinner.
During the first week, you might need to adjust the amount of
pill you take, according to your bowel activity. As your bowel
improves, you may reduce the amount of pills or frequency (1/4
tsp each time or 1/2 tsp once a day, for example). If you don't
see immediate bowel activities, increase the amount gradually
until you see the improvement (1 tsp each time or 1/2 tsp 3-4
times, for example). Some people with severe constipation might
take 2-3 tsp 2 times a day, but 1/2 tsp 2 times a day is a good
start.
Water, Green Tea would be the best choice. Do not take Taifu with soda, alcohol, coffee, milk. Though it will not cause any negative reactions, you should not be drinking those beverages anyway if you want to improve your digestive system.
You can stop taking pills anytime as soon as your normal digestive cycle recovers. However, we strongly recommend daily usage of the pill because it will help keep your body cleansed and maintain healthy digestive system for your optimal health.

This herb is commonly used in Chinese herbalism, where it is considered to be one of the 50 fundamental herbs and is used primarily in treating "hot and damp" conditions such as dysentery and diarrhea. It has been used medicinally for over 2,000 years and recent research has found that the roots contain flavonoids that greatly enhance liver function and also have anti-inflammatory and antiallergenic effects. The root is anodyne, antibacterial, Anticholesterolemic, antipyretic, antispasmodic, astringent, cholagogue, diuretic, expectorant, febrifuge, haemostatic, laxative, nervine, mildly sedative, stomachic and tonic. The root is used internally in the treatment of enteritis, dysentery, diarrhea, jaundice, chronic hepatitis, urinary tract infections, hypertension, threatened miscarriage, nosebleed and hemorrhage from the lungs or bowel.

Rheum Officinale Baillon
Rheum Officinale Baillon is commonly known as Chinese Rubarb. It has a long and proven history of herbal usage and considered one of the most powerful herbs in Chinese medicine and known for its main effect being a positive and balancing effect upon the whole digestive system. Its primary function is to promote bowel movement, to reduce heat and release toxins and to invigorate blood. It is excellent in reducing damp heat especially when it is accompanied with constipation. Its roots have a purgative effect in the treatment of constipation, but also have an astringent effect following this. It therefore has a truly cleansing action upon the gut, removing debris and then astringing with antiseptic properties as well. It is also very useful in dysenteric conditions such as bleeding in the stool or vomiting blood. It is can be used both internally and externally to treat infections. Its strong anti-inflammatory effect is excellent for skin conditions such as boils and burns. It is anticholesterolemic, antiseptic, antitumor, antispasmodic, antitumor, aperient, astringent, cholagogue, demulcent, diuretic, laxative, purgative, stomachic and tonic. The roots contain anthraquinones, which have a purgative effect, and also tannins and bitters, which have and opposite astringent effect. When taken in small doses, it acts as an astringent tonic to the digestive system, whilst larger doses act as a mid laxative. The root is taken internally in the treatment of chronic constipation, diarrhea, liver and gall bladder complaints, hemorrhoids, menstrual problems and skin eruptions due to and accumulation of toxins.

Aloe Barbadensis Mill
Aloe Vera is a fairly well known herbal preparation with a long history of use. It is widely used in modern herbal practice and is often available in proprietary herbal preparations. The use comes from the yellow sap at the base of the leaf. The leaves are cut transversally at their base and the liquid that exudes from this cut is dried. It is called bitter aloes and contains anthraquinones, which are a useful digestive stimulant and a strong laxative. When plants are grown in pots the anthraquinone content is greatly reduced. The plant is emmenagogue, emollient, laxative, purgative, stimulant, stomachic, tonic, vermifuge and vulnerary. Extracts of the plant have antibacterial activity. Apart from its external use on the skin, aloe Vera (usually the bitter aloes) is also taken internally in the treatment of chronic constipation, poor appetite, digestive problems.

It is also known for strengthening xue (loosely translated as "the blood"), for cardiovascular conditions/high blood pressure, inflammation, headache, infections, and nerve pain. The root has a sweet pungent aroma that is very distinctive and it is often used in cooking, which is the best way to take it as a blood tonic. It is said that the root contains vitamin B12 and can be used in the treatmet of pernicious anemia. The root is alternative, analgesic, anticholesterolemic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, deobstruent, emmenagogue, emollient, hepatic, laxative, sedative and peripheral vasodilator. It is commonly used in the treatment of a wide range of women's complaints where it regulates the menstrual cycle and relieves period pain and also o ensure a healthy pregnancy and easy delivery. It is an ideal tonic for women with heavy menstruation who risk becoming anemic. Its use prevents the decrease of liver glycogen and protects the liver. It has and antibacterial action, inhibiting the growth of various bacteria including Bacillus dysenteriae, Bacillus typhi, B. comma, B. cholerae and haemolytic streptococci.
